Dilga is the earth mother of the Bagadjimbiri, the twin creator brothers of the Karadjeri people who emerged from the ground and shaped the landscape of the Kimberley region.
Unable to bear the boisterous laughter of the Bagadjimbiri twins, Ngariman rallied his kin and drove spears into both brothers, committing the first killing and bringing death into the Karadjeri world.
