Dilga is the earth mother of the Bagadjimbiri, the twin creator brothers of the Karadjeri people who emerged from the ground and shaped the landscape of the Kimberley region.
After Ngariman killed her sons the Bagadjimbiri, Dilga's grief caused her milk to flow in such abundance that it became a great flood, drowning Ngariman in maternal vengeance.
