Description
When the Buddha asked what he would do if the hostile people of Sunāparanta beat him, Purna replied he would be grateful they used no weapons; if they used weapons, grateful they did not kill; if they killed, grateful to be freed from the body. This fearlessness made him foremost in preaching the dharma.
