First king of the Tuatha Dé Danann who lost his hand in the First Battle of Mag Tuired against the Fir Bolg. The physician Dian Cécht crafted him a functional silver replacement, allowing him to reclaim the throne. He wielded the Sword of Light, one of the Four Treasures of the Tuatha Dé Danann.
