Fand and Lí Ban are daughters of Aed Abrat, Otherworld sisters who together lured Cú Chulainn into the affairs of the sídhe — Fand as his destined lover, Lí Ban as the messenger who summoned him.
Fand, abandoned by Manannán mac Lir, summoned Cú Chulainn to the Otherworld as her champion and lover, but Manannán reclaimed her by shaking his cloak of forgetfulness between the two, severing their bond forever.
Fand, Pearl of Beauty among the sídhe, is the wife of Manannán mac Lir. When she was besieged by enemies in the Otherworld, she summoned Cú Chulainn to her aid, and their love affair nearly shattered Cú Chulainn's marriage until Manannán shook his cloak of forgetfulness between the mortal hero and the sea god's wife.
