    Nüdeng, consort of Shaodian, conceived Shennong after being touched by a sacred dragon at Huayang, giving the Divine Farmer his ox-headed appearance. Their granddaughter Jingwei, who drowned in the Eastern Sea and became a bird, was born of this line.
