Hidimbi and her brother Hidimba were rakshasas dwelling in the forest where the exiled Pandavas took shelter — she was sent to lure them as prey, but instead fell in love with Bhima and turned against her own kin.
Bhima killed the rakshasa Hidimba in the forest during the Pandavas' exile. Hidimba had planned to eat the Pandavas but was defeated by Bhima.
