Inti presides over the Coricancha in Cusco, his principal temple whose walls were sheathed in gold and whose inner chambers housed the Punchao disk and mummified Sapa Incas.
The Punchao golden sun disk was housed in the Coricancha temple. Each day priests performed rituals before it, and during Inti Raymi it was carried in procession through Cusco's streets.
