Kon is described as a son of Inti in coastal Peruvian traditions recorded by Cieza de León. A boneless wind deity, he was later overthrown by his brother Pachacamac.
Pachacamac overthrew Kon, the earlier creator god, destroying his creation and remaking humanity. Pachacamac supplanted Kon as the supreme deity of the coastal Peruvian peoples.
