Sukuna-Bikona, the tiny kami who slipped through Kamimusubi's fingers and fell to the reed plains below, partnered with Ōkuninushi to shape the land of Izumo.
The Kotoamatsukami are the five primordial kami who emerged when heaven and earth first separated from chaos — Ame-no-Minakanushi, Takamimusubi, Kamimusubi, Umashi Ashikabi Hikoji, and Ame-no-Tokotachi — each appearing alone and immediately concealing their forms.
Takamagahara, the High Plain of Heaven, is the celestial realm where Amaterasu reigns supreme among the heavenly kami — the primordial Kotoamatsukami, the wisdom god Omoikane, the mighty Ame-no-Tajikarao, the dancer Ame-no-Uzume, and the moon god Tsukuyomi.
The Zōka Sanshin are the first three kami to emerge from the primordial chaos — Ame-no-Minakanushi, Takamimusubi, and Kamimusubi — each appearing alone and embodying the creative force of musubi that set existence into motion.
When the tiny god Sukuna-Bikona appeared before Ōkuninushi and none could name him, Kamimusubi recognized the stranger as his own child who had slipped through his fingers, and commanded Sukuna-Bikona to join Ōkuninushi in building and healing the land.
When Ōkuninushi was crushed to death by a burning boulder rolled down by his jealous brothers, Kamimusubi dispatched Kisagai-hime and Umugihime from Takamagahara to scrape and nurse the shattered god back to life.
