  Vucub-Caquix and Chimalmat parented Zipacna the mountain-maker and Cabrakan the earthquake-shaker. This family of cosmic giants threatened creation's order in the Popol Vuh until the Hero Twins defeated them.

  Zipacna killed the 400 Boys by pulling down the great house they built over the pit where they tried to trap him, crushing them all. They ascended to become the Pleiades.

  The Hero Twins lured Zipacna into a canyon with the promise of a giant crab, then brought a mountain crashing down upon him, turning the boastful crocodilian giant to stone beneath the earth.
