Thor drives his chariot across the sky pulled by the goats Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr, who can be slaughtered and eaten each night and resurrected the next morning from their bones.
Þjálfi cracked the thighbone of Tanngnjóstr, one of Thor's goats, to eat the marrow, causing the goat to be lame upon resurrection. Thor took Þjálfi and his sister Röskva as servants in compensation.
