Wealthy farmer and father of Fafnir, Regin, and Ótr in the Völsunga saga. After Loki killed his son Ótr and paid weregild with Andvari's cursed gold, Hreidmar refused to share the treasure with his remaining sons. Fafnir murdered him that night to claim the hoard.
