Jacheongbi disguised herself as a boy to study alongside the heavenly prince Mun Doryeong, and the two fell in love — a bond fierce enough that she would later descend into the underworld to reclaim him from death.
After Mun Doryeong's murder in the Segyeong Bonpuri, his soul descended to Jeoseung, where it was held among the dead until Jacheongbi braved the underworld's trials to bring him back to the world of the living.
In the Segyeong Bonpuri, Mun Doryeong descends from Cheonsang to the mortal world to study, where he unknowingly shares his lessons with the disguised Jacheongbi before the two fall in love.
When Mun Doryeong was slain in a celestial rebellion, Jacheongbi traveled to Seocheon Kkotbat for the flowers of resurrection and destruction, used them to annihilate his killers, and brought her lover back from the dead.
